Our client is a keen gardener but with the lounge located at the front of the property and the only access off the dining room & utility room it was not possible to enjoy the garden to its full potential so an Orangery designed as a ‘Garden Room’ was the perfect solution. A unique feature was to include angled facets to the corners of the building, which presents a softer profile in keeping with a cosier traditional styling helped by the look-a-like sash window design. As part of the overall project all the windows & doors to the property were replaced with our matching high performance energy rated PVCu products including shiplap cladding to the front, renewing the fascias & guttering at the same time.

A mixed heating solution was installed comprising electric under floor heating with the addition of a stylish designer radiator to offer a focal point to the room and offset some of the running costs of the system. The installation of a set of aluminium bi-fold doors acts as a room divider providing the option of open living or the sanctuary of a separate space away from the hustle & bustle of the rest of the family.
