As a corner property the plot design has resulted in two separate garden areas, which although accessed at either end of the lounge this has meant the area directly off the kitchen was under used together with the fact the dining room is located on the opposite corner of the building off the main garden. The Orangery addressed these anomalies by functioning as a true family room, a requirement for contemporary homes today and a modern lifestyle. Built off the kitchen this addition has meant that this secondary garden area is now fully utilised both for family activity and socialising with friends.

Removal of the existing window and brickwork within the kitchen provided a convenient access point, however our clients major concern about the feasibility of the entire project was not damaging or causing major changes to the high quality bespoke kitchen being installed only a few years ago.

This was achieved with great success.
