The Brief

Our client was downsizing to this property and the proposed conservatory and side extension was essential to making the living space viable.

The building was designed to extend the current lounge by opening it up to the new space and add floor area to become a dedicated dining room with direct access by the removal and enlargement of the existing window opening.

As part of the refurbishment more space was required to improve the kitchen, which was achieved by demolishing the existing ‘DIY’, temporary structure and building a proper flat roof extension creating a small utility area plus an additional guest toilet.

Design Notes

The conservatory was an upgrade with our Sun Room package with light pelmet, LED down lighters and decorative exterior aluminium cornice to the perimeter giving a greater sense of formality to the building.

As the garden was as important part of what the customer wanted from the property the addition of bi-fold doors invited the outside in so they could enjoy the all that the doors uniquely offer.

To complete the project we laid paving to a large area of the rear garden and reinstated the driveway at the front.
