Grays

The Brief
Typical of a mid terrace starter home the ground floor living space is compromised by the stairs being situated in the only reception room which has to double up as a dining area resulting in cramped conditions.

A conservatory was a very cost effective way of resolving this issue for our client, although a modest size it still doubled the usable ground floor living space in this property creating a dedicated dining room and a room with views from which to enjoy the garden as a light & airy haven.

As part of the project the existing patio slabs were salvaged and re-laid by us followed by our customer having artificial turf installed across the remaining garden area.

Design Notes

It was important to maximin the width of the new building so parapet walls were employed so that the overhanging gutters were eliminated allowing the walls to be positioned tight on the boundary with each neighbour and the added benefit of maintaining privacy.
